Miracle Molly

Ladies and Gentleman, meet Molly Nardone. She is an SFCF regular and just completed the San Francisco 24hr, One Day Race. The goal of the race is to run as far as you can around the Chrissy field lagoon (1.08 mile loop) in 24 hours.

Molly likes to run a little. She played some college soccer. I'm sure she's never run more than 6 miles (from her own mouth). She does the crossfit, and goes for a short run from time to time.

Molly just completed the race this morning and ran...79 miles!
Let that burn in. Seventy-nine miles in 24 hours.

Miracle.

Thanks to Corby (her fiance), Robert Tuller, and all the other CF'ers that supported our wunderkind.

Nice work Molly!

And be sure to check out the cover girl on www.crossfitendurance.com

  4. Awesome Job Molly it was great meeting you. You are amazing!!!! Now you gotta try a mountain hundred I'm Sure Robert Tuller will convince you. I really am happy seeing crossfitters jumping into the sport of Ultrarunning. I've been running hundreds since 1999. I ran 100.1 at SF 1 day and it was the 60th time running 100 miles or more.
I have been doing crossfit off and on for about 2 years and it has really helped my running.
It really was great seeing so many crossfitters out there.

  5. OK, with all due respect and love to our dear Corby, let me make it perfectly clear that OUR MOLLY looked OUTSTANDING: smiling, clear-eyed, and just damn good lookin' after 79 miles...To my point: She looked better than Corby! After 20 years of Ultrarunning I was so darned excited and giddy walking that last piece with Molly; I was smiling big on the inside and out and proud of her for sticking to her goal. When you see her honor her and know that you too can get it done: follow Molly: she can rightfully hold her head high and proudly wear her badge of accomplishment! All Hail MOLLY and SFCF. We have community.

  9. Girl, I already told you how much you rock my world and inspire me. But what I think is even more amazing than the 79 miles (which clearly f'in rocks) is that you are one of the coolest most genuine people I know. That Corby is one lucky guy... but clearly he knows that.

That's pretty damn awesome...that not only sounds physically draining, but I can't even begin to imagine the mental endurance that requires...
