Demons OUT!!!
Of late we have taken to writing down excuses as we hear them. In effect we are attempting to name the devil. If it's on the board, you no longer can use it.
The problem is, most of us have some version of an excuse that we pull out during our most difficult efforts. And, we may be the only ones that ever actually hear it. Try to recognize yourself doing it, stop, and write it on the board. Poof, the crutch is gone and ego is laid to waste.
What is your go to? Your trick knee of excuses? Is your exercise excuse the same as the one you use in your day to day life?
Post lame ass private excuses to comments and be done with them for good. Demons OUT!

It's too early in the morning to work-out...or I'll get home too late to work-out.
I didn't chug enough muscle milk this morning.
I'm inadequately motivated by my coaches, as they--
(a) don't yell at me enough; OR
(b) yell at me too much; OR
(c) confuse/distract me with lewd and ambiguous gestures.
Its hot, its raining, its cold, I cant breathe through my eyelids, and I would rather just go to 24hr fitness and hit up some bi's and tri's and then go find and extra small t-shirt and head out to the marina to play beer pong and pick up on skinny fats.
Lucas
"Matt is giving me the Crazy Horse Eye!"
I know on occasion I've thought "I just didn't hydrate enough earlier today." True or not, it's still passing the buck.
"I did that exercise yesterday and I am too sore"
BTW the DL Burpull workout Kevin through out this morning was a lot of fun.
I'm the weakest here!
My ass is too big... And I am not giving up wine like Bernard. Admirable...but insane.
I second Becca's emotion...
"It's not actually important to me to be good at that." Or, "I may suck at Fran but I'm really good at my job."
- i'm not flexible enough
- i can't breathe
- my shorts don't fit right
- the music is not motivating me properly
- coach kstar is too sexy and i can't concentrate ;)
next time i'm in san francisco, you know where i'll be for my crossfit workout. word. *smile*
